About Sam Harris
Sam Harris is the author of the bestsellers The End of Faith, Letter to a Christian Nation, The Moral Landscape, and Lying. The End of Faith won a 2005 PEN Award for nonfiction, and his writing has been published in over fifteen languages. Harris’ work has appeared in the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, the Boston Globe, the Atlantic, and Newsweek, among others. He is cofounder and CEO of Project Reason, a nonprofit foundation devoted to spreading scientific knowledge in society. He received a degree in philosophy from Stanford University and a PhD in neuroscience from UCLA.
About the Narrators
Timothy Snyder is the Levin Professor of History at Yale University and the author of The Road to Unfreedom, On Tyranny, Black Earth, and Bloodlands. His work has received the Hannah Arendt Prize, the Leipzig Book Prize for European Understanding, and an award in literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
Daniel
Kahneman is Eugene Higgins Professor of Psychology Emeritus at Princeton
University and a professor of public affairs at the Woodrow Wilson School of
Public and International Affairs. He is the only non-economist to have won the
Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences; it was awarded to him in 2002 for his
pioneering work with Amos Tversky on decision-making.
Max Tegmark is a physics professor at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the co-founder of the Future of Life Institute. He is the author or coauthor of more than two hundred technical papers. He holds a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley.
David Deutsch is a member of the Quantum Computation and Cryptography Research Group at the Clarendon Laboratory, Oxford University. He is the author of The Beginning of Infinity: Explanations that Transform the World and The Fabric of Reality, which was shortlisted for the Rhone-Poulenc Science Book Prize in 1998.
Neil Hellegers grew up in New Jersey and attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a BA in theater arts and a minor in psychology before getting an MFA in acting from the Trinity Rep Conservatory in Providence, Rhode Island. He moved to New York City in 2003 and, since then, has made a career of theatrical performance, percussion, theater education, and audiobook narration. He currently lives in Brooklyn with his wife and son.
