Publisher Description

Geoff is in the city, living the gay life to the hilt, when his father's death convinces him to return to the family farm. Discovering a young Amish man asleep in his barn, Geoff learns that Eli is spending a year away from the community before accepting baptism into the church. Despite their mutual attraction, Geoff is determined not to become involved with him, but Eli has discovered that Geoff shares his feelings and begins to court him, neatly capturing first Geoff's attention and then his heart.

Their budding relationship is threatened by closed-minded, gossipy relatives and society at large, a whole new world to Eli, and he must decide whether to return to the community, his family, and the world and future he knows, or to stay with Geoff and have faith in the power of love.

"I just finished this book and its definitely one of those books you cant stop thinking about. At first I wasn't sure about it at all. Geoff is an average guy, not happy in his job, has a great friend Raine. Then his dad dies and leaves the family farm to him. He decides to move back from the city and take it on. Then Eli shows up. He's a young Amish man that is on Rumspringa and . spending the next year out in the world trying to decide if he'll stay with the Amish or move on. Their love of horses draws them both together. And soon their morning rides become more. They're both such good sweet men who deserve nothing but happiness. Of course it doesn't go quite that smoothly. The last third of the book was hearbreaking, so much happens that is just so sad and frustrating. The end is great. I am so glad there are more books in this series I cant wait to read more."

" Read this after Courage so the lost were hard to read. Plot are the same as Courage though (or vice versa). "

" I would give this book 3.5 stars. I liked the characters and the story, but the story didn't quite grab me as much as the 2nd in this series. "

" This story and an intriguing premise, and I was able to finish the book. (Sometimes the writing in romances is so bad I can't finish the book--or don't even make it past the first chapter.) But that's about all that I can say in the way of praise. The dialogue didn't feel natural, there was no real tension or conflict to resolve, and everyone was perfectly good except for the one antagonist who was a terrible b*tch. Everyone was *too* understanding and *too* insightful for the story to be believable. I got this book free from Dreamspinner Press during their anniversary month, so I can't exactly complain, but I'm glad I didn't spend any money on it. "

" I thought this book was rather boring and the character pretty flat. I just read the book a couple of days ago and I can't remember the name of the main character. "

" My favorite among the "Love Means..." series and honestly, I both fell in love with Geoff and Eli. I felt that this installment had the most unique plot in the series since the issue of coping with loss is more magnified here. "

" wow, I'm must be in the minority because I had to dnf this book, which I rarely do. The writing was so stilted and boring I just couldn't get into it. Interesting premise but I guess this author's writing style just doesn't do it for me. "

" Isn't Joey just ruggedly gorgeous? Even as I was reading it, I can honestly say that I can still fall for a guy marred with scars if he has Joey's personality. Such a lovely story. "

" Very sweet and romantic, I liked especially the music references and the compassionate inclusion of a blind 'hero'. I liked this best of the series for the way each of them gradually brought out the best in each other. "

" 4 stars for the story, but there were several instances where the main characters names were reversed which was annoying. Of the 3 "Love Means ..." books this was my least favorite, but was still an enjoyable read. "
