Kayla Maxwell is eager to shed her slasher-flick bimbo image - and she plans to do just that in her new role on daytime's most popular soap. With a chance to showcase her dramatic range, Kayla will be able to wash away the lingering betrayal and public humiliation left by her controlling, philandering ex-boyfriend.

Sean Barrett, the son of an influential, award-winning actor, is the hottest soap star in the country. Paired on-screen with the talented and beautiful Kayla Maxwell, Sean is determined to keep her at arm's length, burned before by fame - seeking actresses who had no qualms about using him to get to his famous father.

But when Kayla receives threatening letters, her past as a scream queen seems to be coming back to haunt her. Succumbing to an attraction neither one of them can deny, Sean and Kayla must face down her stalker and their own personal demons before trusting what they both feel - a love that lasts long after the cameras stop rolling.

"Thoroughly enjoyed this. I haven't met a heroine as delightful as Beatrix in a long time. She was so real and unique. And Phelan was a terrific wounded hero. I expected to see a bit more strife when he went to confront his secret pen pal in the tower, but still the conflict was emotional and satisfying. The twist at the end was clever and surprising. Well done!"

" I thought this book had the potential of being as good as Dreaming of You, but it fell short, a tiny bit. Still I enjoyed it very much, particularly the letters exchanged between them. I will probably reread it sometime in the future. "

" I loved this book. I'm a huge fan of Lisa Kleypas, so when I say this may be my favorite LK book that tells you something. It is a wonderfully romantic, poignant story that also has a lot of humor and a huge amount of heart. Fans of the Hathaway family will be very happy with the way LK has wrapped the series up. I, for one, will miss them! "

" All that it wonderful about a good bit of corset loving is in this book. Deliciously romantic with an angst ridden war veteran and an eccentric Hathaway. Sigh. Just lovely. "

" I love how Beatrix is so caring and friendly to creatures. Sometimes her love for wounded creatures just goes a bit too far, but this is a cute story. "

" The best!!! I love sweet and innocent Beatriux. Her complete love of animals and kind heart and too cute and funny. I would occasionly be upset with Christopher and his mood swigs but you see that it works out. "

" I could barely but this book down! This book was such a sweet, sad, but also a wonderful love story. With each page I had turned, I wanted to cry for Christopher. That being said, this is my second favorite book in the Hathaway series. Leo's story is my favorite! "
