Spunky, sweet-natured Jessica Monroe is 34 years old and perfectly happy being single. A producer at a top-rated morning show with a coterie of fun friends and a busy nightlife, she isn't in any rush to meet a man. Her girlfriends, however, disapprove. And when they secretly place a personal ad on a hot singles Web site on her behalf, Jess is reluctantly hurtled into the topsy-turvy world of online dating, where frogs masquerade as princes—but your soul mate might be just one click away. A laugh-out-loud whirlwind of disastrous dates ensues, from Simon, who seems dreamy over e-mail but ditches her at the dinner table, leaving her with the bill, to Graham, a self-described “Ferrari driver” who turns out to be a car salesman—with several (old, fat, bald, creepy, cheap, stuck-up) men in between. When an unforeseen event turns her world upside down, Jess starts to wonder if the qualities she thinks she wants in a man are what she ultimately needs. And whether, as a new mystery suitor appears in her e-mail in-box, Cupid has other possibilities up his sleeve . . . With her sparkling sensibility and brilliant knack for rendering the foibles of modern love in a fresh, unforgettable way, Jane Moore has become one of the fastest-growing names in contemporary women's fiction. Told with her signature wit, wisdom, and sass, Love @ First Site is an irresistible tale about what happens when we start to look for love between the lines on a computer screen--and a winning, unputdownable look at contemporary romance.

"I had the audio version of the book and enjoyed the it. Towards the end it was somewhat predictable but still enjoyable. This is a woman's story through dating specifically internet dating. The story follows the trial and tribulations of the her life whether it be family or dating."

— Jessica, 2/10/2014" Pretty good story. Some characters were well developed but some of the secondary characters seemed a little one dimensional. "
— Issa, 2/7/2014" Fun book, but a bit predictable. "

— Jennifer, 12/18/2013" The dates she went on were very funny and they reminded me of some of the ones that I have been on. I really enjoyed the way she gained confidnece and finally just told people how it was. "
— Nicole, 12/14/2013" This was one of those rare books that went UP in stars the more I read. I thought at first it was a typical ho-hum comic romance, but as it went on it got deeper and better and more real. By the end, I loved it! "
— Lisa, 12/14/2013" This was read by the best British gal - started out very fluffy, and then got sad, and had the perfect ending :) "
— Kirsten, 11/19/2013" It was a cute story about the "interesting" online dating adventures one can encounter. It started out light and funny, but did have its serious parts so not your typical "red dress ink" type chick lit book. I read it through, but I wouldnt read it again. "
— Holly, 10/31/2013" This isn't a must read but I was better than ok. "
— Kimberly, 10/23/2013" I only finished it because there was nothing else to read in the house. I don't recommend it. "
— Lindsay, 6/9/2013" I admit I was not particulary fond by this book at first, Jess was a little too pretentious and uptight.. But as the pages went on, Jess grow a little more. Really nice in the end, the easy, funny and cheesy little book us girl need sometimes to dream a little bit. "
— Shiloh, 2/2/2012" I wanted to like this, and I just didn't. I didn't like/believe any of the characters. :( "
— Renee, 8/14/2011" Cute but predictable. Fun summer beach read though. "
— Michelle, 10/19/2010" This was really cute! I wasn't expecting the serious turn but it balanced out over all as a very pleasant read. Very happy that the main character wasn't a ditsy idiot for a change! Great read A+ "
— Leylakyrie, 6/1/2010" Overall, it was a lovely book that any single woman, or even a man, should read. Read rest of review "
— Shevonne, 2/28/2009" It was cute, but kinda predictable. "
— Jill, 1/29/2009" Didn't read much because I remember reading it before. Probably 3 or 4 stars, but can't remember exactly. "
— Lisa, 1/4/2009" Language, language, language. Sheesh! It had such good potential too. Oh well. "
— Diazez, 7/8/2008" ok. some good parts but overall not my cup of tea. "
— Ruth, 12/23/2007" Cute, fun, and a good read about the journey of online dating. There were definite hysterical moments and was a tear jerker at times as well. "
— Courtney, 4/28/2006" Probably one of the better chick lit books I've read in a long time. The main character is vindicated, unlike some chick lits where the main character is forever stupid and self-loathing. Cheerful London read. "
