About the Authors
Peter Roop graduated from Lawrence University to become an elementary school teacher. It was in his early teaching days that Roop first decided to try writing for children, and Roop persevered, writing and publishing his first short stories and articles while teaching in England. In 1980 he got his master’s degree in children’s literature from the Center for the Study of Children’s Literature at Simmons College in Boston, where he studied with Newbery Medalist Scott O’Dell.
Connie Roop is a high school environmental science teacher and a recipient of the Women Leaders in Education Award from the American Association of University Women and a Kohl Education Foundation Award for Exceptional Teaching. She has coauthored nearly 100 books with her husband Peter.
About Pat S. Grimes
Pat S. Grimes is an audiobook narrator whose credits include I, Columbus: My Journal 1492-1493 and Off the Map: The Journals of Lewis and Clark. Born in Los Angeles, Pat S. Grimes now makes his home in Ypsilanti, Michigan. When not working as a voice actor or writer, he plays guitar, sings, travels, and dotes on his small dog, Charlie.
