Denise Austin started gymnastics at a young age, receiving an athletic scholarship to the University of Arizona where she earned a degree in exercise physiology. She began her career teaching aerobic classes in Los Angeles before branching out into production of her own instructional exercise videos and DVDs. A fitness icon, her impressive sales record gained her induction into the Video Hall of Fame in 2003.
