About Peter Dawson
Peter Dawson is
the pen name of author Jonathan Hurff Glidden, an American author born in
Kewanee, Illinois. In his career as a Western author, he has published over a
dozen Western novels and over 120 shorter works for the magazine market. His
first novel, The Crimson Horseshow,
won the 1941 Dodd, Mead Prize for Best Western of the Year.
