In Lobby Hero, two menial security guards are embroiled in an unexpected family fiasco... and the local beat police are divided by their own romantic and political allegiances.

An L.A. Theatre Works full-cast performance featuring: Tate Donovan as Bill; Cedric Sanders as William; Emily Swallow as Dawn; Michael Weston as Jeff.

Directed by Bart DeLorenzo. Recorded before a live audience at the Skirball Cultural Center, Los Angeles, in June 2011.

"Terrific play. I've seen so many good modern plays over the last half dozen years, wondering if they will ever see the light of day again. I do hope they get a proper life."

" Not as well known as some of the other plays on my list, but well worth reading--and, in fact, reads very novelistically. "

" Our titular hero is stuck in a world of tight serious people and he jokes around a lot. At times you just want the other characters to lighten up. The characters aren't really deep, they are more like caricatures. Read worse, read better. "

" Why is it fashionable to write simple plays about shallow moral dilemmas? Instead of biting off more than it could chew, instead of reaching beyond its grasp, this play played it safe. "
