Publisher Description

Little Fur is very old, though she looks more like a four-year-old child. She is half elf and half troll, and she lives in her very own wilderness, a patch of park, within the city where the humans live. Little Fur is distressed by what the humans are doing to her patch of wilderness, they are burning trees, and she must go on a perilous journey to prevent her precious home from being destroyed. She enlists the help of her friends: Brownie the shaggy Shetland pony, Crow the crow, and the Sett Owl.

This is a story full of magic and wonder, of unforgettable characters and exciting adventures.

"I'm loving the mythology of this series. This book takes Little Fur off into an unfamiliar wilderness, rather than into the city. This opens up a vast scope for world development. A good read."

" Things get very dark for Little Fur in this book. A real winter tale. Sets the scene beautifully for the series finale (in Spring). "

" I liked this book better than the other Little Fur books. Not sure why--maybe because it was about wolves and I love wolves. :) Or maybe because Little Fur is learning about herself and her family. It was a good continuation of the story and I look forward to the next. "

" This was a really nice easy to read book with a charming story. The characters were sweet and gentle, and the story was full of magic and nature. The first three books were good too. "
