Moss Hart (1904–1961) began his career as a playwright in 1925 and achieved his first major success in the 1930 collaboration with George S. Kaufman titled Once in a Lifetime. With Kaufman he also wrote such American classics as The Man Who Came to Dinner and You Can’t Take It with You, winner of the 1937 Pulitzer Prize. Hart also gained universal recognition for his award-winning direction of many shows, including My Fair Lady and Camelot.
Shannon Cochran is an actress and director, whose work includes the First National Tour of the Pulitzer Prize–winning play August: Osage County, a film opposite Kathleen Turner called The Perfect Family, and Last Days, a radio play for the BBC. She has performed and directed with LA Theatre Works, an organization producing radio plays for NPR, for fifteen years.
Amy Irving is known for her numerous film roles as well as acclaimed roles on Broadway and off-Broadway. She received an Academy Award nomination as Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the film Yentl, Golden Globe nominations for her performances in the films Anastasia: The Mystery of Anna and Crossing Delancey, and an Obie Award for her stage performance in The Road to Mecca. More recently she appeared in the films Traffic, Tuck Everlasting, and Thirteen Conversations about One Thing.
Mariann Mayberry, an ensemble member with Steppenwolf since 1993, received Joseph Jefferson nominations for her work in the company’s Time of My Life and Hysteria. Her work at Steppenwolf also includes such productions as Good People, August: Osage County, Slavs!, The Libertine, and The Pain and the Itch. Mariann has performed in Tony-winning director Mary Zimmerman’s national stagings of Metamorphoses, The Notebooks of Leonardo da Vinci, The Odyssey, and Argonautika.
