About the Authors
Pope Francis is the 266th pope of the Catholic Church, elected in 2013. Throughout his life, he has been noted for his humility, concern for the poor, and commitment to dialogue as a way to build bridges between people of all backgrounds, beliefs, and faiths. The son of Italian immigrants, he was born Jorge Mario Bergoglio in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on December 17, 1936. He was ordained a priest in the Society of Jesus in 1969 and was made a bishop in 1992. He became archbishop of Buenos Aires in 1998 and was named a cardinal in 2001. He is the author of many books.
Austen Ivereigh
is a British writer, journalist, and commentator on religious and political
affairs who holds a PhD from Oxford University. His work appears regularly in
the Jesuit magazine America and in
many other periodicals. He is well known on British media, especially on the
BBC, Sky, ITV and Al-Jazeera, as a Catholic commentator.
About Arthur Morey
Arthur Morey has won three AudioFile Magazine “Best Of” Awards, and his work has garnered numerous AudioFile Earphones Awards and placed him as a finalist for two Audie Awards. He has acted in a number of productions, both off Broadway in New York and off Loop in Chicago. He graduated from Harvard and did graduate work at the University of Chicago. He has won awards for his fiction and drama, worked as an editor with several book publishers, and taught literature and writing at Northwestern University. His plays and songs have been produced in New York, Chicago, and Milan, where he has also performed.
