Publisher Description

NOTE: This audiobook is in Spanish.

Eddie is a wounded war veteran, an old man who has lived, in his mind, an uninspired life. His job is fixing rides at a seaside amusement park. On his 83rd birthday, a tragic accident kills him as he tries to save a little girl from a falling cart. He awakes in the afterlife, where he learns that heaven is not a destination. It's a place where your life is explained to you by five people, some of whom you knew, others who may have been strangers. One by one, from childhood to soldier to old age, Eddie's five people revisit their connections to him on earth, illuminating the mysteries of his meaningless life, and revealing the haunting secret behind the eternal question Why was I here?

"I read this book on a cross country plane ride as few years ago and have never forgotten it. I originally purchased it as a gift for someone else and just thought I'd take it with me and "preview" it. I read the whole thing and enjoyed it much more than I thought I would as this usually isn't my "type" of book. Looking forward to reading more of Mr. Albom's books."

" Who says that the saying "There is a reason for everything" isn't true? Albom's approach on this one, not only gave us hope, it just says that we should just keep on doing what we think is good in life. I remember what Tala said that When Eddie protects kids, he do good for her. "
