About the Author

Sonny F. Black was born and raised in Harlem but has lived his life like a rolling stone throughout various cities. Through his writing, he was able to find the peace that had eluded him his entire life. His short stories eventually took on a life of their own and grew into passionate and thought-provoking novels, the first being the Essence bestseller Bulletproof Love (aka Gangsta Bitch). He is also the author of Lazarus and a contributing author in City of God. He lives in the greater New York area.

About the Narrator

Angela Yee has always talked a lot. As a teenager, her friends used to call her “the News,” because if you wanted to spread information, all you had to do was tell Angela. At the time, no one suspected this would be her future career. While attending Wesleyan University, she majored in English with the goal of becoming a writer. Through series of industry internships—including stints at TVT Records, MTV, and Wu-Tang Management—she connected with a host of music executives, artists, and producers.
