Publisher Description

Fans of Maggie Stiefvater's Shiver and Becca Fitzpatrick's Hush will relish this intense paranormal love story featuring Romeo and Juliet, literary history's most tragic couple, who meet again, not as true lovers, but truly as enemies. The most tragic love story in history . . . Juliet Capulet didn't take her own life. She was murdered by the person she trusted most, her new husband, Romeo Montague, a sacrifice made to ensure his own immortality. But what Romeo didn't anticipate was that Juliet would be granted eternity, as well, and would become an agent for the Ambassadors of Light. For 700 years, she's fought Romeo for the souls of true lovers, struggling to preserve romantic love and the lives of the innocent. Until the day she meets someone she's forbidden to love, and Romeo, oh Romeo, will do everything in his power to destroy that love. "These violent delights have violent ends And in their triumph die, like fire and powder, Which as they kiss consume." —Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare

"I love the concept of this book. Romeo kills Juliet and they become immortal. Now enemies they jump through time and bodies. Juliet tries to save true love while Romeo tries to destroy it. It is a clean read and very entertaining."

" Two words: evil Romeo. Need I say more? Ok, if you need further convincing I'll just say that Stacey Jay's remix of the ultimate love story is brilliant! I loved it, I am now a fan for life. Can't wait for the next one. "

" Started out good, then you get half way through the book and the author does a complete flip on the characters. Then the story gets confusing and by the end of the book, the reader is thinking "what just happened?" And yet there is a sequel to this madness... "

" Good but had some real gory parts. I liked the twist of the old Romeo and Juliet story. Some of the characters were real sleazy too. "

" This was a pretty awesome book! I liked how Juliet was strong and how Ben was protective of her! Romeo creeped me out at first but I think deep down he still cared about Juliet. "

" 3.5 I would have given it 4 stars, but while most times the imagery and writing are very lyrical, towards the second half and on, the writing became redundant (at times) and verbose. I do think it's a good book for students who have read Romeo & Juliet. Full review to come. "
