About the Authors

Arleta Richardson (1923–2004) was a teacher and librarian and a beloved children’s author. Her popular Grandma’s Attic series, which recounts her grandmother’s childhood on a nineteenth-century farm on the shores of Lake Michigan, has reached more than two million people around the world.

Susan Hanfield is an Audie Award–winning narrator who comes from a strong classical theater background and loves bringing deep characterizations to all of her work.
