"I loved it. This book stirred up weird emotions for me. I ended up having very odd dreams after trying to playback the book in my head. Despite that I liked the protagonist, the setting, and the ominous slow buildup, although the ending was a bit flat. I think I'll read more Peter Straub."

" Peter Straub is the master of the modern day ghost story. This book is all about sins of the past catching up with the present. The mood is creepy and it almost reads like a whodunit with lots of red herrings and false endings. Definitely a keeper. "
