"A rare occassion when I read a humor book, and I actually find it funny. I lost friends on the bus due to the fact that I was unable to stifle my laughter half the time. The pictures and footnotes that are used by Lieb are great. I like the crazy spin he puts on the whole campaign process."

" Reminded me of the importance of letting our kids know we are proud of them. "
— Jill, 2/18/2014" I picked this up in the YA section at the library as a "blind date" book so I didn't know what it was until I got home. The review snippets on the cover were funnier to me than the book itself but I get what the author was going for and I think that for the right audience, it was good. I was not the right audience, though. I see from the GR reviews that other adults liked it but I would venture that it's best for older tweens and early teens. Some of the references might even go over their heads, though. "
— Dianne, 2/17/2014" Funny and clever and wholly enjoyable. A quick read. "
— Cherie, 2/16/2014" This story of a 7th grade Walter Mitty never gave you enough glimpses of the reality to give context to his daydream. "
— Reverenddave, 2/11/2014" I would rate this 15 stars if I could and it is awsome!!!!!!!!!!!! "
— 2jb01bcs, 1/13/2014" Hilarious. And a poignant statement on our democratic process in America! "
— Kerry, 1/5/2014" Siyana, we must read this, if not purely because it reminds me of Austin. "
— Lilly, 12/24/2013" Coarse and cynical. Not recommended. "
— Rose, 11/21/2013" Hilarious YA book from one of the Executive Producers of The Daily Show. Recommended for all maniacal middle schoolers, and the dimwitted parents who love them. "
— Jennifer, 10/31/2013" with reviews by jon stewart and jud apatow i had high high hopes, so perhaps the book wasn't deserving of a 3 star, perhaps my expectations were just too high. "
— Kirin, 10/13/2013" Let's say 3.5, if only for the Sorkin footnote and the fact that Josh Lieb is a producer on The Daily Show. Cute, quick read. "
— Heather, 7/30/2013" Funny, cynical, and very entertaining. "
— Heidi, 4/26/2013" Entertaining, in a juvenile way. Definitely not high literature, but a little school-boy humor is necessary every once in a while. The main character was extremely fun to read, and all the shenanigans he gets into were fun to read as well! "
— Megan, 4/4/2013" I have absolutely no idea what I think about this book. I finished it. Looked at it. Said, "huh." Stared some more. And that's about that. I think I liked it? Maybe. "
— Tya, 3/22/2013" So funny! The reader for the book on CD was incredible and very entertaining. This poor boy simply wants his father to be proud of him, but doesn't want to admit it. (That would be a show of weakness for an Evil Genius, after all) "
— Melissa, 7/23/2012" I wish I had more stars to give this book. I laughed so hard, I couldn't breathe. I had to shut the book until I had enough oxygen to continue. Well done, Mr. Lieb. "
— Nikki, 5/18/2012" I found the main character to be kind of annoying, but the story overall was interesting. I don't think I would have been able to sit through the actual book though, it was much better as an audiobook. "
— Stephanie, 4/25/2012" perhaps I wasn't in the mood? But, it was a bit disappointingly blah for me. Moments of wit. "
— Jolee, 4/17/2012" I liked the idea of this more than the reality. It was grating. "
— Jillian, 7/27/2011" Didn't like it enough to finish. It had some funny parts but not enough to warrant the time it would take to read it all the way through. "
— Patrick, 7/19/2011" I found the main character to be kind of annoying, but the story overall was interesting. I don't think I would have been able to sit through the actual book though, it was much better as an audiobook. "
— Stevie, 5/4/2011" It is like an evil Family Guy "Stewie" all grown up and taking over the world and the world not even knowing about it....especially his parents. "
— Mr., 4/27/2011" This has to be one of the funniest books I have ever read!! I could not put it down. I think this will be my favorite nutmeg nominee. "
— Jessica, 4/24/2011" with reviews by jon stewart and jud apatow i had high high hopes, so perhaps the book wasn't deserving of a 3 star, perhaps my expectations were just too high. "
— Kirin, 3/28/2011" a funny comedy about a evil genius running for class presdent "
