About the Narrators
Bailey Carr is a New York City–based audiobook narrator. She graduated with a BFA in acting from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Bailey has narrated audiobooks for multiple New York Times bestselling authors.
JD Jackson is a theater professor, aspiring stage director, and award-winning audiobook narrator. He is a classically trained actor, and his television and film credits include roles on House, ER, Law & Order, Hack, Sherrybaby, Diary of a City Priest, and Lucky Number Slevin. He is the recipient of more than a dozen Earphones Awards for narration and an Odyssey Honor for G. Neri’s Ghetto Cowboy, and he was also named one of AudioFile magazine’s Best Voices of the Year for 2012 and 2013. An adjunct professor at Los Angeles Southwest College, he has an MFA in theater from Temple University.
Romy Nordlinger is a New York City–based actress. As an audiobook narrator, she has recorded nearly a hundred titles, ranging from romance and
self-help to science fiction and mystery. Her television credits include roles on Law
& Order and One
Life to Live. She is a member and committee head of the League of
Professional Theatre Women and has appeared in hundreds of off-Broadway and
regional theater productions and readings. She has also done voice-over work for numerous commercials, industrials, and public service announcements.
David Bendena is a voice talent and audiobook narrator.
Nick Mondelli is an actor, poet, and accomplished audiobook narrator from Northwest Ohio. He has narrated a wide range of titles, from My Antonia by Willa Cather to Phantom Limbs by Paula Garner, which AudioFile magazine called, “a sensitive, expressive performance.” Nick graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Toledo before moving to Los Angeles.
Cary Hite has performed in several theaters across the country as a cast member in the longest-running African American play in history, The Diary of Black Men. He also appeared in Edward II, Fences, Macbeth, Good Boys, Side Effects May Vary, and the indie feature The City Is Mine. He has voiced several projects for AudibleKids, including Souls Look Back in Wonder, From Slave Ship to Freedom Road, and Papa, Do You Love Me?
Jorjeana Marie has worked extensively as an actress, comedian, writer, and audiobook narrator. Her narrations have earned her several Earphones Awards. She has performed in hundreds of commercials and starred in the pilot Listen to Grandpa, Andy Ling with Elliott Gould. She is a stand-up comic who has opened for Richard Lewis, Louie Anderson, and Kathleen Madigan. Her video game credits include Final Fantasy, Crackdown 2, and Star Guardians. She loves reading so much it gets her into trouble.
James Langton, an Earphones Award–winning narrator, trained as an actor at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and later as a musician at the Guildhall School in London. He has worked in radio, film, and television, also appearing in theater in England and on Broadway. He is also a professional musician who led the internationally renowned Pasadena Roof Orchestra from 1996 to 2002.
