"This book was amazing! I wasn't expecting it too be very good, in fact, for a while after I got it, I regretted getting it. But then I actually read it and I'm pleased to say that I was surprised about how good it was and how much i enjoyed it! I've read books that I thought were like it before, (like the Beyonders) and didn't really enjoy them, but the Books of Umber somehow had a fresh spin. The characters were so well-formed also! I fell in love with them all (even Lady Truden) and am looking forward to reading more about them! But my favorite was actually the main character, Happenstance. For one, his name is awesome. Secondly, he's just the perfect, well-developed hero, one that you can really understand and relate too! I can't wait to read the next books! :)"
