Johannah Gilman Paiva grew up reading children’s books to her eight siblings. Her career has taken her from the magazing publishing industry to authoring and editing children’s books. She lives in her hometown of Nashville, Tennessee, and gains inspiration from the adventures and antics of her police officer husband, two small boys, and their family dog.
About the Narrators
Carrington MacDuffie is a voice actor and
recording artist who has narrated over two hundred audiobooks, received numerous AudioFile Earphones Awards, and has been
a frequent finalist for the Audie Award, including for her original audiobook, Many
Things Invisible. Alongside her narration work, she has released a new album of original songs, Only an Angel.
Laural Merlington is an audiobook narrator with over two hundred titles to her credit and a winner of multiple Earphones Awards. An Audie Award nominee, she has also directed over one hundred audiobooks. She has performed and directed for thirty years in theaters throughout the country. In addition to her extensive theater and voice-over work, she teaches college in her home state of Michigan.
Pete Cross is an Earphones Award–winning narrator. He holds a BA in theater from the University of Toledo and an MFA in acting from the California Institute of the Arts. His experience on stage includes Carnegie Hall, and he has also acted in film. He has served on the faculty at Cal Arts and with Aquila Morong Studio in Hollywood. He has coached for film and theatrical productions and continues to work with private clients all over the world.
David Bendena is a voice talent and audiobook narrator.
