" I think this might be my favorite Harry Dresden story. Harry has always been a very human hero with all the faults and fancies that come with that. In this story, we see that most of all. He is dead and now a spirit, stripped of his powers and charged with saving his friends. It was quite intense, watching him come to grips with this and with the consequences of choices that he made. I wait raptly for the opportunity to read the next book in the series. "

" I wasn't sure when I first started this, Harry couldn't do magic! And (poor english I know) what about the other charachers? But I soon got into it. This book answered a lot of questions from the series and really felt that is was a end. As I know Jim is releasing the next book in October I knew it wouldn't be. There were clues as to where Dresden would go next... will have to wait and see. I missed Mouse though... "

" Glad to see Harry with soul-able to reflect on his motivs, notice his feelings, and raise up a few of the lost. Probably wont last through, the next book, but adds a little depth to an enjoyable if shallow series "
