Kelly is 17. She's a scholarship girl, her dad drinks too much and her mom lives in another city. Her house isn't renovated like those of her friends. But Kelly has one thing her friends are envious of: Phil. Rich, devoted, handsome Phil. And it looks like their future together is all mapped out. Then, on a hot afternoon in a dingy little pizza shop, Kelly meets Con. He's unlike anyone she's ever known before. It's a dramatic meeting, a chance encounter that changes everything ... "I remember reading this for Year 10 English and you know how most of the time you hate the books you're made to read for English, I remember the whole of my class loving this book. I still like it too."

" I enjoyed the book but felt that the romance was a little disjointed. I was not overly comfortable with the stereotyping, and the development of characters was somewhat rushed. However is was a good book; it look a some of the social issue within this country, and problems faced by our young adults. "
