For Willa Jacobs, seeing her best friend, Jane Weston, is like looking in a mirror on a really good day. Strangers assume they are sisters, a comparison Willa secretly enjoys. They share an apartment, clothing, and groceries, eking out rent with part-time jobs. Willa writes advertising copy, dreaming up inspirational messages for tea bags, while Jane cleans houses and writes poetry about it. Together Willa and Jane are a fortress of private jokes and shared opinions, with a friendship so close there's hardly room for anyone else. But when Ben, Willa's oldest friend, reappears and falls in love with Jane, Willa wonders: Can she let her two best friends find happiness with each other if it means leaving her behind?

"This book is funny; sometimes pee your pants funny, but don't let that catch you off guard. Actually do! Something about the light humor of the book opened me up to some interesting insights about the people around me, so I had a touch more compassion when I finished it than when I started. Not bad for $12.99. The author has a light touch but a fierce wit as well which can be a bit jarring, but in the best way. I must admit I wanted a happy ending, but only because I truly loved the characters by the end (not just the trio, but Seth, Nina, Jane's parents). I have invented several sequels in my mind in the past month (most of my sequels are happy...)"

" This was like a book version of the "Reality Bites" screenplay. It really had that feel to it. I cannot lie, Reality Bites is one of my favorite movies. This book would have received 5 stars, except for the frustrating ending (which I won't give away). "
— Peebee, 2/20/2014" This book seemed promising in the beginning but the main character was really getting on my nerves as it went on. "
— Ilian, 2/12/2014" It was a great story about friends and how messy love can get! "
— Ashley, 2/3/2014" Oh, this book left me with many unanswered questions and a lot of theories! It was very good, I highly recommend! "
— Stacyann, 1/28/2014" Started out strong by lost steam halfway through. Found myself having a hard time keeping track of many characters and then the story just ends. I felt like I was jipped out of a decent ending. Will not go out of my way to read a book from this author again. "
— Jackie, 12/28/2013" A very different kind of "chick lit" novel, although I hesitate to call it that. A somewhat refreshing take on best friends and relationships, and confusion with life and family when you're in your mid-20's. I think it was fairly realistic and was very surprised by the downer ending. Chick lit books always end on some high note, and this one was very somber. I liked the book a lot, however I found most of the characters to be either super oblivious and self centered. But maybe that's the point when you're in your 20's...you're still trying to figure everything (including yourself) out. "
— Nicole, 12/28/2013" Clever and laugh out loud funny in spots. I loved the hybrid animals and the constant wordplay. Am I getting old if characters in the their early 20's, underemployed and sometimes angst-filled, fail to grab me? "
— Kirsten, 12/22/2013" I read it in one sitting...stayed up till 2 am...what does that say?? "
— Tc, 12/18/2013" Total "Millenial" book about being an underemployed college grad. Book was okay; not amazing or anything. Recommended if you love the TV show Girls. "
— Rebecca, 12/14/2013" I did not enjoy this very much. I love Fox's writing style, but the plot was not great at all. "
— Maureen, 12/11/2013" I didn't finish this. It just didn't hold my interest and ended up getting pushed aside. "
— Heidi, 12/7/2013" Couldn't really get into the characters. The banter was fun at first and then just a page filler. "
— Robin, 11/20/2013" I found it hard to get into the writing and got tired of all the wordplay. The plot was okay and made me appreciate the relationships in my life. Overall, I thought the book was emotionally draining. "
— Angela, 8/2/2013" Ugh... Unpleasant characters who make decisions designed to make them (and this reader) unhappy. "
— Mia, 8/26/2012" Generic plot, an intensely unlikeable main character (I have no patience for self destructive, whiny female characters that never ever get their act together, shame on you chick lit writers everywhere!). I stuck it out for over 100 pages and then just couldn't do it any more. "
— Teresa, 8/15/2012" The book was somewhat interesting in the beginning and then dragged on. I hung in there only to be disappointed by the ending. Bummer. "
— Farah, 6/11/2012" I'm really torn on 3 or 4 stars. It would be like 3.75 so I'm rounding up. I found this book very enjoyable and readable, liked the humour, but of course it wouldn't end well. And it didn't. So it was sad but still good. "
— ~ames~, 5/10/2012" Started it and got bored with it real quick. Moved on the another book. "
