Every day, I prayed and quoted this psalm in the Holy Bible with my mom and daughter. God had brought me through so many trials of life, from losing my husband, to every experience you can imagine, and He has restored me fully. My hope was in God, but I soon found out the first week I also needed my friends to help me, as I was too sick and weak to take care of myself alone. When Elizabeth Barnhardt was diagnosed with stage 3C breast cancer, all of her family, including her only daughter, Nicole, lived out of town.
From the first moment after finding the cancerous lumps, her daughter and all of her friends prayed for Elizabeth. Despite the biopsies, surgeries, doctor appointments, chemotherapy, and radiation, God heard the prayers for Elizabeth and gave her peace when she was sick. Her cancer eventually went into remission, but Elizabeth knew that her battle had been won through a combination of medical treatment and healing.
