The fourth audiobook in the beloved, New York Times bestselling series - now with a new foreword by Rebecca Serle
Jessica Darling is living the New York City dream. She’s subletting an apartment with her best friend, working for a magazine that cares about her psychology degree, and she’s still deeply in love with Marcus Flutie.
But then Marcus proposes, and wants Jessica’s answer in a week. Is she ready to give up her NYC life of literary parties, art openings, and karaoke downtown to move back to New Jersey? Even if it’s to be with the boy (now man) who she’s been in love with for years?
Megan McCafferty's Fourth Comings, the next in the hilarious New York Times bestselling series, brings listeners once again into the snarky, witty mind of Jessica Darling as she learns that reality is more complicated than dreamy clichés.

"The last novel I read as I got ready to leave Seattle. As with the previous installments, the emotions and events of this book mirrored much of my own life as a twentysomething would-be yuppie: bittersweet, somewhat melodramatic, highly entertaining. McCafferty's breezy style won't win her a Nobel Prize, but it won't make you feel ashamed of reading her sentences, either. (Guilty pleasure/Bubblegum fic; 300 pages)"
— Mickey (4 out of 5 stars)
" It was ok not as good as the first and second books. "
— Amy, 2/17/2014" My sister and I agree that McCafferty should have stopped after the second book in this series. Her charm is her ironic use of modern superficiality, but this has become so redundant that the plot often seems lost in sarcastic cliches. That said, I am consistently impressed by the characters' realistic reactions to nuanced situations, redeeming McCafferty from a pending reputation as a witty author of chick-lit. She could put her talents to better uses. "
— Taylor, 2/3/2014" getting bored with Jessica Darling...but think I'll read the last one anyway "
— Karen, 1/5/2014" I liked this book, but I think I would have liked it more had I realized that it was the fourth book in a series and, I don't know, maybe read the first three first ;) "
— Patti, 1/5/2014" The book is fine, but I liked Jessica best before she graduated from college and moved to NYC and some of that NYC philosophical stuff rubbed off on her. There is a fifth one coming out. I think I have lost interest. "
— Kelly, 12/24/2013" by the fourth book i wasnt quite as interested, if only to find out if she can make up her mind about marcus. and in the end its a pretty crappy decision based on all the shit and the three other books she put us through to come to this conclusion. "
— Chelsea, 11/28/2013" This was the last in the series. It ended the way it was supposed to end but not the way i wanted it to. but then, i'm a hopeless, and hopeful, romantic that always wants people to end up together in the end. this is not how things work. "
— Brynne, 11/24/2013" These books are such a guilty pleasure! I love slipping into the world of Jessica Darling and I am patiently waiting for the 5th one - this was good but not great... however, did leave me wanting to know what comes next so I guess it wasn't too bad! "
— Allison, 11/9/2013" good book but i was very disappointed with the ending "
— Emaline, 11/8/2013" Love, love, love this series!! "
— Megan, 10/23/2013" not as good as i remember the other ones being. maybe me and jessica darling are just getting too old for one another. and besides, i couldn't help thinking that the author of this book is way too old to be talking about something being a "dick move" and making comments on williamsburg hipsters. "
— Colleen, 7/25/2013" Just when I felt all empty inside, I noticed that Perfect Fifths is going to be released in ten days. Oh Happy Day! "
— Leila, 12/23/2012" it wasn't too bad. i feel like these books got too ny hipster namedroppy when she moved to new york, and they are kind of cutesy-languaged sometimes, but i still enjoyed reading it and i thought that it ended well. (is this the final volume?) "
— Emily, 11/21/2012" I didn't care for the writing style (to Marcus) but the content was more interesting. I'll read the 5th book in the series, but not before I read a few others on my "list" first. "
— Tricia, 6/7/2012" Amazing. I can't wait to read its sequel, Perfect Fifths!! "
— Laurel, 4/23/2012" Finally Jessica Darling quit being so spoiled and started listening to people. I REALLY hope the author does not try to expand on this one. It was a great ending to the series and really doesn't need more. It will only be wordy and sappy is she does. "
— Lori, 1/11/2012" I was kind of bored with it just because Marcus was hardly in it. LOL "
— Veronica, 8/17/2011" did not enjoy this one as much as the first. the ending annoyed me. the story fizzles out in this fourth novel, but still was a good read. "
— Rowan, 6/26/2011" I am really impressed with how McCafferty really is able to communicate the process of growing up and personal development through the first person diary format, with just a week's worth of entries in this fourth book. "
— Marissa, 4/23/2011" getting bored with Jessica Darling...but think I'll read the last one anyway "
— Karen, 4/22/2011" because one can never get enough marcus flutie. "
— Windy, 4/10/2011" I really enjoyed this book. Thanks Lynx for recommending it to me! "
— Fawn, 3/16/2011" I am a huge fan of the Jessica Darling Series, and this one is no exception. "
— Alexandra, 3/4/2011" I've read this book before (obviously) and every time I wish I would have stopped at the third one :\ "
— Marena, 2/27/2011" After the 2nd and 3rd book I kind of got tired of this series. I felt like it would never end. "
— Jules, 1/23/2011" realized about 2 chapters into the book that we must have heard the #3 book b/c all the characters seemed so familiar. Thought it was a bit verbose at some points, but overall fairly entertaining for a car trip. "
