Publisher Description

One morning fourteen-year-old Alex wakes up to find himself in the wrong bedroom, in an unfamiliar house, in a different part of the country. Six months have disappeared overnight. The family at the breakfast table? Total strangers.

And when he looks in the mirror, another boy’s face stares back. A boy named Philip, known as Flip. Unless Alex finds out what’s happened and how to get back to his own life, he’ll be trapped forever inside a body that belongs to someone else.

Martyn Bedford’s debut novel for young adults is fearless and fast-paced, a riveting psychological thriller about a boy coming undone in the most extraordinary of circumstances.

"This book just blew me away. Not only did it turn out the book I've always wanted to read, but the book I've always wanted to WRITE--I felt that it was totally plausible, the way the M.C. Alex felt throughout the book, his ups and downs and ultimately his decision on how to reverse the flip. The ending was just a tad bit rushed I thought, but it worked marvelously, no matter what. Can't wait to read more from Martyn Bedford!"

" It was pretty good but I don't understand why you would want to go back to a comatose state when you are being offered a healthy body in exchange. "

" Great book, I was expecting a bleaker ending, something more in tune with the other PE victims stories added to the end of the novel. "

" This is a fabulous YA mystery. I never ever read the last pages of a book before I'm done, and although I was able to resist the temptation with this book, it wasn't easy. I was dying to know how it would end. Bedford suggests some thought provoking themes in this book as well: what is the soul? What aspects of the human experience define us as individual beings? "

" I had a hard time getting into this one, which is funny because it is on some best of the year lists! I did skim through the entire thing to see how and what happened in the end, but I am glad I didn't spend too much time on it. "
