" Some of the best christian fiction by this author so I am certain to give this one a 5 so might as well get it done. "

" Gritty and moving, Flame of Resistance is a beautifully written story of Nazi-occupied France that raises challenging questions about redemption, perceptions, and the cost of doing the right thing in an evil world. I highly recommend it. "

" I listened to this on CD. Didn't like the reader from the start, but thought I could get past that. I pushed myself through most of it, but just gave up. Too much religion, too predictable corny love story, unbelievable spy work. Did learn a bit more about the D-Day invasion plans. "

" I enjoy historical fiction and this is one of the best I've ever read. The characters truly come to life and the author led me to feel their emotions. It was tough to put this one down, especially as the ending unfolded. "

About the Narrator

Carine Montbertrand is an award-winning narrator of dozens of audiobooks. When she first started working in the 1990s, she sounded younger than her years and specialized in children’s and young adult titles. Since then she has expanded to fiction for adults and has recorded everything from murder mysteries to fantasy and inspirational titles. She is adept with dialects and accents, voicing characters from countries around the world. She also specializes in English language titles with a French flavor, as she is half French. With her audiobooks, she has the opportunity to tell wonderful stories while finding voices for men, women, children, and sometimes ghosts and extraterrestrials.
