Publisher Description

Makedde Vanderwall is a Psycho-magnet. A woman who has a habit of attracting the wrong kind of man. She's a single, Canadian, street-smart daughter of a cop, an alluring Venus who works in the lucrative world of modeling while studying forensic psychology.

When Mak travels to Sydney on assignment and discovers her best friend brutally murdered, she unwittingly opens a Pandora's Box of suspicious photographers, hired thugs, and mysterious lovers. She also encounters Andy Flynn, the handsome, cloyed detective investigating the Stiletto Murders, the most violent signature killings Australia has ever known.

In her quest to uncover the truth behind her friend's death, Mak falls headlong into a deadly game of cat and mouse, unaware she has become the obsession of a sadistic psychopath. She is driven into a corner, an evil place where she must suspect everyone and everything.

"Loved this book, I found it a real page turner and found it hard to put down, I could feel the fear her main character Makedde Vanderwall felt and loved the fine thread of sexual tension woven through it between Makadde and the handsome dectective."

" Tara Moss first attempt into the serial killer market. Ok for a first attempt but I hope her next book, Split, which I have Mt.TBR, is better. "

" Wasn't expecting much from this but was pleasantly surprised to find myself engrossed in the world of a model turned super-sleuth - in Sydney. A nice, light read - good for plane trips. "

" I am just obsessed with this series. I read it a long time ago but it's still one of my favourites. Very well written and gripping until the end. "

" Well told story, but a genre that just doesn't do it for me. Good main character and plausible location, but by the end the story seemed contrived. The few novels I've read in this genre always struck me that way, so I guess that's why I don't read it much. And yet, SF and fantasy are my thing! ;-) "

" Female heroine (tautology?) running round Sydney fighting crime. Good fun like all Tara's stuff. I actually think Tara's getting better as a story teller so I've enjoyed her later books even more. And her overly good looking protagonist is made of pretty tough stuff. Just like Miss Moss! "

" Started off hearing this book as an audio but then finished by reading the rest. Must admit, I did not enjoy Tara Moss reading it to me as I find her voice annoying. I did enjoy the book though. Great light read and might even read some more of hers. "
