" this is the first book that I've read by J.A. Jance, and I really enjoyed it...Christmas gift...it's a part of the J.P. Beaumont mystery series. I'll be going out to get more books from this series. "

" I have been slowing reading the JP Beaumont series for a couple of years. I enjoyed this book..Felt like I gained some insight into his relationship with his ex-wife and his daughter. I read the background information on this book and found out that the Shakespeare plays are based on a place that the author goes to every summer. I will definitely be reading more books about Mr. JP in the future!! "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Mary Helene | 2/2/2014

" I almost gave up, the writing is so breathless. Why did I persist? The local color. The clever plotting. The happy endings. The fantasy of never having to worry about money. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Gary Proctor | 2/1/2014

" NOt one of my favorite JP Beaumont books. It mostly centers around his family and their involvement in a murder (or two) as they get together for an unpopular wedding. It was a bit slower than most of the series, but contained much of the wit and charm JP is well known for. The mystery comes together well at the end. "

" Another good read from Ms. Jance in her J.P. Beaumont series. It does involve some unsavory elements regarding incest and child pornography, but these are handled tastefully. "
