Publisher Description

Emily Baxter's dream life turns into a waking nightmare the day the red rain falls. Like a biblical plague, the scarlet downpour spreads a hideous virus that demolishes life in New York City, the nation, and the world. Suddenly the last soul in an annihilated metropolis - and possibly on Earth - the onetime newspaper reporter must learn to scavenge, survive...and plan for a future of utter solitude.

Then, from far-flung Alaska, another living voice reaches out, and Emily grasps at her only glimmer of hope. But she may be even less alone than she thinks. The world is in the midst of a strange and frightening transition; something that fell with the red rain is remaking Earth in its own alien image.

Now, Emily alone will bear witness to the terrifying new evolution - and risk her life to outrun it, for the sake of the future and in the name of all that is human.

"Extinction Point had me at the edge of me seat the entire time reading it, it was both scary and surprising. I'm used to reading post-apocalyptic, zombie or dystopian novels that always hint at the cause of society's demise, and I'm always very curious as to what happened. This book did not leave my questions unanswered and instead satisfied (and terrified) me. I really enjoyed this book."

" I would have rated the book higher, but it is the type of book I just don't like. Overall very well written, good pacing, high level of interest in the character(s), and decent ideas. If you are into this type of book I would recommend it to you. If not, I'm not sure it will convert you to the genre. "

" This was a very difficult read. The book is written in far too much detail, the protagonist comes across as a blithering idiot, and the plotline is essentially creep-out horror, with no character development. "

" Did not enjoy I thought the storyline poor and boring...also there were 3 mistakes on the kindle edition...why do indie authors not proof read their material before publishing...there is no excuse for this :(( "

" So I really liked the concept behind this book.Over all it fell short.I enjoyed the main character Emily, but not until about half way through the book.Truthfully, Emily annoyed the crap out of me for the first part of the book. She was very shallow. An ok book I would not recommend. "

" This book has a crazy, captivating story-line- I was hooked reading all day! I didn't know it was going to be part of a 3 or 4 book series so now I have to wait for the other books to be written! Be prepared for lots of language in the beginning part of the book though, yuck. "
