Last spring, Nikki Beckett vanished, sucked into an underworld known as the Everneath. Now she’s returned—to her old life, her family, her boyfriend—before she’s banished back to the underworld . . . this time forever. She has six months before the Everneath comes to claim her, six months for good-byes she can’t find the words for, six months to find redemption, if it exists.

Nikki longs to spend these precious months forgetting the Everneath and trying to reconnect with her boyfriend, Jack, the person most devastated by her disappearance—and the one person she loves more than anything. But there’s just one problem: Cole, the smoldering immortal who enticed her to the Everneath in the first place, has followed Nikki home. Cole wants to take over the throne in the underworld and is convinced Nikki is the key to making it happen. And he’ll do whatever it takes to bring her back, this time as his queen.

As Nikki’s time on the Surface draws to a close and her relationships begin slipping from her grasp, she is forced to make the hardest decision of her life: find a way to cheat fate and remain on the Surface with Jack or return to the Everneath and become Cole’s queen.

Everneath is a captivating story of love, loss, and immortality from debut author Brodi Ashton.

" The book was good the sad thing is that i felt like it was just like underworld by meg cabot. Well it was simillar while i was reading it i also hoped that she wouldnt choose cole. Becouse every time i read a book a guy would come in and the girl would always leave her boyfriend ( if she has one ) and go to that new sexy guy that all of a sudden comes. I mean its not bad but i would also like it if she would stick with her boyfriend thats why when i finished this book and read that she choose jake , well not really choose but she did say she hated cole and at the end she said she'll get jake back and i thought that was cute^.^ i also fell in love with jake. He was just tooo adorable :) this book is one of my favorite now waiting for everbound(; Excited^.^ "

" This book was so awesome! Ashton took lots of mythology that I already knew and weaved it into a whole new story revolving around the Everneath, a kinda version of the underworld. I loved this book because i Felt the "reality" of Nikki's choices. Even though I knew the right choice was to stay with Jack, I honestly thought she should just go with Cole. I mean really, he is devilishly handsome and it would be easy. She could become a queen. THe whole humanity (haha, the irony) of the story is what made it so captivating in my opinion. "
