Azalea is trapped. Just when she should feel that everything is before her . . . beautiful gowns, dashing suitors, balls filled with dancing . . . it’s taken away. All of it. The Keeper understands. He’s trapped, too, held for centuries within the walls of the palace. And so he extends an invitation. Every night, Azalea and her eleven sisters may step through the enchanted passage in their room to dance in his silver forest. But there is a cost. The Keeper likes to keep things. Azalea may not realize how tangled she is in his web until it is too late.

"Loved, loved, loved, this book! I couldn't put it down once I picked it up and spent many late nights with my nook. The author, heather dixion is a genius and storytelling. The characters are memorable and three dimensional. I highly recommend this book to any lover of fantasy and adventure. I doubt it will disapoint."

" Fun book! I love this fairy tale! Characters are all very likable. Gets a little slow in the middle, but not too bad. "
— Jeanette, 2/19/2014" It is one of THE best books ever. Fierce sisterhood, romance, and the thrill of being a princess all rolled into one. So i suggest that you stop reading this post and go check this book out from the local library. "
— Bunny, 2/19/2014" This was ok. The best part of the book is really the beautiful cover, unfortunately. I couldn't ever really tell what the plot was, other than the fact that it reminded me of the Barbie's 12 Dancing Princesses movie (because it was a retelling of this story, the back cover says). But there was dark magic with undefinable rules in it and lots of subplots that really never amounted to a plot plot. Even my daughter, who loved this book, couldn't tell me what it was really about. So there you go. My 13-year-old loved it so you can take either of our words for it. "
— Jenna, 1/30/2014" One of the best fairy tale retellings I've read in a long time. :) "

— Kristi, 1/19/2014" Fun story.....twist on the 12 dancing princesses with a lot more magic and dancing mixed in. What I enjoyed about the dancing were the memories and descriptions about why the dances were appropriate at that time in the story. "
— Shellie, 1/10/2014" I LOVED this book with it's theme of the 12 Dancing Princesses. I love all 12 girls including Delphinium. The ending is perfect for this kind of fairytale "

— Ashli, 6/19/2013" I really like variations of the twelve dancing princesses, this was an interesting version. I really liked the personalities of the princesses, however I found the villain a little too creepy for the book, and that was the one thing that lowered my love of it. "
— Micaela, 6/16/2013" I thought that this book was absolutely amazing and i would read it again! This is definitely a good book if you like magic and romance! "
— Gwyn, 5/27/2013" Pretty good. There are some parts that seem to drag on but for the most part it's a good book. Worth reading. "
— Madison, 4/27/2013" A fun re-telling of the twelve dancing princesses. "
— Anabella, 12/18/2012" This story is based of the Grimm fairy tale The Twelve Dancing Princesses, which I loved. I really did enjoy this book, over all. It had it's moments where it dragged a little, but it wasn't too bad. It's a great entertaining book. I'm keeping it for my collection & would reread it in the future. "
— Kyli, 8/25/2012" It's a long (not that I mind long books), detailed version of the "Twelve Dancing Princesses" fairy tale. "
— Jennilyn, 12/17/2011" I loved it, not my typical read but I thoroughly enjoyed it. it even ended as every fairy tale should, with a happy ending. "

— Suzanna, 8/26/2011" Beautiful story, excellent characters. A great book to get lost in on a rainy afternoon. "
— Talei, 8/8/2011" There were a few flaws with the writing, but I found myself loving the story! I love classic stories so this re-telling of the 12 Dancing Princesses is a new favorite. I loved that it was a more grown-up version with a great love story, wit and suspense. "
— Stephanie, 5/23/2011" I finished this thing in one sitting. Nice retelling of the tale of the twelve dancing princesses. "
— Grace, 5/22/2011" A fun and whimsical fairy tale! Just right when you're looking for a little "light reading". "
— Angela, 5/21/2011" Simple but elegant, the story holds moments of gentle profundity, romance, and above all love. One of my favorite fairy tales, retold in a lovely way. The ending was everything a good fairy tale should be. Recommended. "
— Meredith, 5/20/2011" this was my kind of book. It was a little slow to get into or it would be a 5 but I liked the story twists and the nice romance. I liked that the bad guy was really bad and the hero was a great one. plenty of rescues but still a strong heroine. I love a good princess book. "
— Becky, 5/18/2011" What a magical story. It took a bit for me to get into it, but once I did I couldn't put it down. I loved all the sisters and the quirkiness of their suitors. It was a beautifully written tale that had me wanting to read more fairytales. Brilliant!! "
— Tanya, 5/17/2011" Loved it! I like twists on fairytales and when authors include both dark and sweet elements in the story. This is a twist on the 12 Dancing Princesses. "
— Sarah, 5/15/2011" Outstanding re-imagining of the 12 Dancing Princesses. "
— Diana, 5/14/2011" I'm a sucker for a good fairy tale romance and I LOVED this one! There are so many different versions of the 12 dancing princes story and this, like the others I've read, sucked me in immediately. I couldn't stop reading and I really enjoyed every minute! "
— Kara, 5/12/2011" Saw this recommended on a book blog... the buzz about it was that it was based on a fairy tale and was massively dark and twisted. It was based on a fairy tale, and a little bit dark... the sisters mitigated any serious creepiness I think. "
