Publisher Description

Simon the Loyal has vowed never to love, for love makes a warrior weak. His arranged marriage to a beautiful Norman heiress would be duty and no more. But more than duty stirs his blood when he first sees Ariane.

She has known only coldness from men - and a betrayal so deep it all but killed her soul. Wanting no man, trusting no man, speaking only through the sad songs she draws from her harp, Ariane comes to Simon an unwilling bride.

They wed to bring peace to the Disputed Lands, but marriage alone is not enough. Simon must teach Ariane passion, she must teach him trust. And both must surrender to the sweet violence of love's enchantment. . .or die.

"This book really pulled the story together. If you love a good romantic tale of long ago you will love this series. It makes you want more. There are not Fae or druids but lots of insinuation of such - the wowmen whom are gifted are called "witches" and the men socerrers or Learned. Would love to see Erik and Cassandra get drawn more into the story. The plot is fantastic and the author does a great job describing the scenes in detail you feel like you are walking in the story with them. Truly well written series."

" Whoever sees this book in my collections says, "Hey this isn't Ella Enchanted...". Well I wasn't looking for Ella Enchanted, dudes, this is another book, just Enchanted. I came across this hmmm wat should I say, it wasn't amazing, it wasn't boring, guess average is what I would say. So discovered this during a time when I wanted a change from the murder mysteries. Thought a romance would be fun. The plot basically is a will they, won't they... have sex that is. That's about it... the other stuff going around is just there for fluff. To be honest, didn't even get half of it. I was a tad disappointed with this romance offer. I wanted more of the batting of the eyes, and silent demure smiles and heart fluttering when he holds her hand etc. Instead it felt more like, there's the bed, lets do it. Tell me the time and place... "

" Hmm, not sure how to describe this one. Purple prose. Medieval fantasy. Lots of lust and a bit of magic. Not dreadful, but the prose is a bit too over-heated for my taste. Maybe I'll try another one - not sure. "

" Just enough "paranormal" to be magical, not eerie or whatever it is that normally doesn't appeal to me about other-worldly stories. I don't know if it's just the novelty - since I'd already re-read the preceding two in the series, and this is the first time I've ever read this installment - but I like this one the best of the three. " Both Ariane and Simon have been deeply scarred emotionally by their pasts, and it's affected how they treat each other and those around them. I liked reading how despite their pasts, they are attracted to each other and that they could overcome their problems to make their marriage work. "

" This was definitely a trainwreck book. I won't say I didn't enjoy it, because obviously I finished it, but it was a sort of perverse curiosity enjoyment. This is the sort of romance novel people who hate romance novels indicate to argue their point about it being a blighted genre. "
