"I don't know how I managed to avoid reading this book for so long, but I'm certainly glad to have remedied the situation. It's easy to read books like A World Lit Only By Fire (a fantastic examination of medieval gossip) and miss out on the vibrant source material." — N (4 out of 5 stars)

" A morbid look at how to gain and maintain power, be it political or having to gain some leverage in a relationship!! Greatly composed by the late author "

" It is better to be feared than loved "
" Quite the argument for politics. "
" More exceptional pre-coup reading. Flabbergasted that, whilst everyone raves about his political thought being five centuries ahead of its time, very few people mention how genuinely funny Machiavelli's dust dry wit is. "
" The epitome of a timeless book. "
" You can't argue with his advice. Still holds true centuries later. But, it isn't that interesting to read. "
" I really liked it! If you're judging then you probably haven't read it or at least haven't read it well. "
" One of the best books I've ever read! "
" To control them with shock & awe... "
" Do you want to lead? at work? in a game? at all? Read this. Seriously, I know it's antiquated but the ideas hold up. How to make pawns and influence people. "
" Few good sections / observations ... But overall it was not my cup of tea "
" Learn to use violence and fear to control humanity. A must read for all up and coming autocrats, tyrants, and neo-cons. "
" So satire or not, so glad that I didn 't grow up in Machiavellian times. Who should aspire to be a prince, pontiff, or king. Evil, helpless times. "
" Catatan dasar seorang negarawan dan juga menampilkan sosok Borgias disini, patut disimak deh banyak hal menarik tentang politik perang "
" I didn't agree with most of Machiavelli's views, but I have to say it was very well written. "
" I honestly hate how he thinks. Maquiavelo sees the people like animals, like possessions. However, his mind is just a reflection of the society he lived in. "
" Insight for becoming a great leader. "
" Enjoyed the first 50 pages . Then Ugh! "
" Despotism for dummies made me feel dirty "
" I don't really agree with the opinions of Machiavelli on morality but it was still very illuminating! "
" Good book, the old style of writing is difficult to comprehend (at least as a 9th grader). "
