Publisher Description

Scattered across a continent, three dragon siblings are among the last of a dying breed. Wistala, sister to the Copper who is now Emperor of the Upper World, has long thought humans the equal of dragons. She leads the Firemaids, fierce female fighting dragons who support the Hominids of Hypatia. Which puts her at odds with both her brothers, for the Copper has no use for the humans he now dominates, and AuRon, the rare scaleless grey, would isolate himself and his family from both the world of men and the world of dragons. But as the Copper's empire roils with war, greed, and treachery, the time is fast approaching when Wistala will have to choose who to stand with—and fight for.

"The Copper's tale is a great addition to the stories of his brother and sister. It is interesting to see his perspective and the reasons behind what happened to set all three stories in motion. It will be interesting to see how the three come together in the next part of the series. "

" A further continuation of seeing all three siblings, as begun in the fourth book, happens here. It is interesting to see how their relationships develop and what events they face. The ending is very compelling, and I look forward to reading the final book. "

" E.E. Knight writes another captivating dragon story. I expected the Copper to be a more cunning, sinister character and therefore not to like him much; fortunately, that wasn't the case. I did, however, enjoy Dragon Champion and Dragon Avenger a bit more though.. still excited for the next one! "

" This series is beginning to out pace the Vampire Earth series. Very enjoyable. He is keeping this fresh with new characters. Knight could use his own advice back on the Vampire Earth series and give someone besides David Valentine a story. "
