"Actually, listened to the newer CD version read by William Russell, supplemented by his memoirs at the end. Story was just as good as when I read it as a boy...this was one of the better black and white productions of the serial as well. "

" Not a terribly strong story, even for Doctor Who. A lot gets left unexplained, and the action isn't very exciting. I never saw the original TV episode, so I don't know if it's a good or bad adaptation. "

" Much better than the filmed version because I was able to get past the poor visual effects and focus solely on the concepts of an alien world of spiders, ants, and butterflies at war with one another. Very gripping, really. "
