When Navy SEAL Mack Bedford's fellow officers are brutally killed by Iraqi insurgents using a cruel, new anti-tank Diamondhead missile, Mack avenges their murders by gunning down the then-unarmed attackers, ultimately getting himself court-martialed and kicked out of the Navy in the process. To make matters worse, Mack then learns that the Diamondhead missiles were sold illegally by French industrialist and infamous politician Henri Foche. Mack suspects that Foche will succeed in his campaign to become the next French President, and fears that his election will result in the cancellation of all navy-ship purchases from the United States, and in doing so, will also protect French interests in the Diamondhead. End result: doom for Mack's hometown shipbuilding yard and the spread of international terrorism.

"After the first 20 percent of this novel the following 80 percent is some of the very best action I have come across. Stick with this story and you will be thrilled if you enjoy good suspense. Only because the story could have done without the drawn out beginning, 9 of 10 stars"

“Likable lead character.”
— Booklist" This was a great book. Great plot and fast pace kept me reading. When I 1st started the book I wasn't sure about it to be honest, it started out fairly heavily military which is not a genre I tend to read but I stuck with it and I'm so glad I did. "
— Bren, 2/7/2014" ehhhhh "
— Hank, 1/13/2014" A very good read. Robinson's style is straight-forward and taken from today's headlines. Plenty of excitement, intrique, politics, and espionage. "
— Lou, 1/12/2014" This author co-wrote Lone Survivor with Marcus Luttrell. The book was repetitive and predictable. "
— Will, 1/6/2014" Was avery good read. "
— Marg, 1/3/2014" Good tale of adventure "
— Linda, 12/4/2013" A Navy SEAL goes it alone. Far fetched but a good read "
— Rob, 11/1/2013" A stand-alone featuring an ex-Navy Seal seeking revenge against an international industrialist...we are introduced to Mack Bedford who also has a son who is gravely ill and undertakes a politcal assassination in France to save his and his town's main industry "
— Mark, 10/3/2013" Switches from past tense to present tense, in the same paragraph, were far too distracting. Couldn't get past the first chapter. Premise sounds interesting, but poor writing habits ruined it. "
— Morgan, 10/2/2013" A little slower than Intercept, but still a good thriller. "
— Clara, 7/30/2013" Good action novel.One of Robinson's better efforts. "
— Nev, 5/2/2013" Contrived, not one of his best. "
— Wayne, 11/9/2012" A great read. I enjoyed the twists and turns of the plot. Not deep, deep, but nevertheless held my attention. Intrigued me enough to begin the second in the series: Intercept. "
