When Paul and Joanna, who are desperate to have children, fail to conceive, they decide to adopt and arrange a trip to Colombia to bring back home a baby girl, Joelle. About the Author

James Siegel is vice chairman, senior executive creative director and member of the Board of Directors of BBDO New York and is one of the agency's top creative talents. His work includes such accounts as Visa, Frito-Lay, Charles Schwab, Office Depot, and Pepsi Twist, where his contributions have played a significant role in enhancing the agency’s creative reputation. He is also the author of numerous bestselling thrillers, including Deceit, Detour, Epitaph, and Derailed, which was made into a movie starring Clive Owen and Jennifer Aniston. Siegel holds a BA from the City University of New York and lives on Long Island.
