When Paul and Joanna, who are desperate to have children, fail to conceive, they decide to adopt and arrange a trip to Colombia to bring back home a baby girl, Joelle. "Siegel has a knack for suspense, but this story failed to have the very pulse-raising tension which existed in DERAILED. However, it was an enjoyable, compelling book. His characters are well developed and often believable. "
