Publisher Description

Eric Drake, a powerful Dark Wolf, has never trusted himself around human females - preferring to mate only within his pack. That is, until he encounters Chelsea Smart snooping around Silvercrest pack land in search of her missing sister.

Secretly, Chelsea thinks Eric is the sexiest man she's ever seen, though she is wary of his potent Alpha energy. Then it's discovered that Chelsea's sister is being held by a pack of vicious Lycans, and Eric heroically leaps into action. Now, Chelsea will risk everything - her body and soul - to surrender to the passion that will mark her as Eric's woman for all eternity if they survive.

"Really great to get back to the world of the bloodrunners! The heroine was a bit hard to take she is not exactly likable.... Though she finally gets her act together in the end! The hero was total alpha male yumminess."

" 3.5 stars. I can't believe the last book came out in 07'. This is a good paranormal story with a lot of action and sexy scenes. Eric is trying to make amends to his alpha father's treatment of the pack. He meets human Chelsea on pack land who is searching for her younger sister. Their attraction is mutual but they both deny it because of what they need to do in their lives. Chelsea's mother was a doormat to men so she does a 180 with her feminism and teaching women's studies, so much so that men think she is frigid. Though brave, she also has many TSTL moments which lessens good thoughts of this heroine, but she does it out of love for her sister. I'm looking forward to the next story which is Eric's sister Elise which is coming later this year. "

" Eric Drake was such a great character that I felt like he didn't deserve Chelsea Smart (smart, really?? almost ironic). Besides that, the story with them was pretty passionate. I love seeing all the couples (and Cian) all together. Jillian standing up for Eric was very honorable and great to see . "

" Whisper-thin plot, when the villainous deeds are revealed, they're extra-icky to make up for the fact that they never happen on the page, which lead to me caring little what happens or to care a great deal about any of the characters. The romance is quite obviously the point here, but I'm still not sold on the relationship as presented. This was an okay read, but nothing that will stick with me. "

" I give Dark Wolf Rising 3 1/2 out of 5 stars. There were a few slow areas in the book and a few twists, but still fairly easy to perdict the story. It may have been better if I had been able to read all of the previous books in the series, but still a good read read without the added background. "

" I gave it 4 stars because it kept teasing me throughout the book making me just as frustrated as Eric and Chelsea. A lot was going on but the storyline was easy to follow and kept me interested "
