Iris, a successful young lawyer, struggles to combine her career with the care for her difficult son. Ray is convicted for murdering his neighbour and spends his punishment in a TB clinic. He swears that he is innocent.
At first, Iris and Ray have little in common, but that changes when their paths cross seemingly coincidentally. Iris tends to believe Ray and promises to help get a review of his case. When Iris researches it, however, more and more facts appear that point to Ray as the perpetrator.
