Publisher Description

Once, this was the City of Angels. But the angels are no longer in charge. There are vampires above and werewolves below. And one woman knows better than most that death lurks here in nights of bliss or hails of UV bullets. She's about to be tested, to taste true thirst. And Fleur Dumont is about to meet the one man who may understand her: a tormented protector who has lost his way and all he loved.

"This is the second time I have read this book, but it has been a while and a new one came out. I finished the whole series in about two weeks. I liked them the first time I read them and when I read them again. There are books I like better but these are a nice easy read and I will read them again"

" Crimson City (formerly known as LA) is not a very nice place to live. Especially since the humans, werewolves, and vampires are all about to get manipulated into a huge race war. "

" I liked this book. I just picked this up at the library and it was really good. I liked the idea that Werewolves, vampires and humans are all living together. Unfortunately, they don't really get along. That being said, I liked the story line. It gave the vampires realness, they had feelings and purpose and rules and everything that also applies to people. Can't wait to read the next one. "

" Quick read - Kindle freebie. Not a bad story. Looking ahead at the series, it is written by rotating authors - and it looks (looks) like it is just a series with two different couples as the leads - blah blah blah. Not my thing - "

" I was intrigued by the book. There was a lot going on, and it was written well. I've read Ms.Maverick's books set in a contemporary setting and this is the first paranormal by her I've read. I will be looking into the other books in the crimson series. "

" The mains had almost no chemistry whatsoever. I didn't believe for one second that they cared about each other. I bought it to have something entertaining and quick to read, and because it was inexpensive. Unless you can't live without vampires, I'd say skip it. "
