" I read this a long time ago. Very edgy and intense. I couldn't put the book down. My introduction to Crimson City! "

" I liked this book. I just picked this up at the library and it was really good. I liked the idea that Werewolves, vampires and humans are all living together. Unfortunately, they don't really get along. That being said, I liked the story line. It gave the vampires realness, they had feelings and purpose and rules and everything that also applies to people. Can't wait to read the next one. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Anne | 1/10/2014

" Crimson City (formerly known as LA) is not a very nice place to live. Especially since the humans, werewolves, and vampires are all about to get manipulated into a huge race war. "

" Quick read - Kindle freebie. Not a bad story. Looking ahead at the series, it is written by rotating authors - and it looks (looks) like it is just a series with two different couples as the leads - blah blah blah. Not my thing - "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Linda | 12/21/2013

" A book of vampires, werewolves, and humans living together in the same city. The heros will turn out being the ones you least expect. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Richard | 11/3/2013

" I finished it. I almost moved it to the unread list. Formula supernateral/urban/romance. Don't pick books by their covers. "

" Well, It was not a bad vampire action read.Albeit, it was still a huge love story. It was not so much a page turning thriller, but it had its moments.I liked it minus all that sucky love stuff!!!!! "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Janie | 10/26/2013

" This is the second time I have read this book, but it has been a while and a new one came out. I finished the whole series in about two weeks. I liked them the first time I read them and when I read them again. There are books I like better but these are a nice easy read and I will read them again "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Kenya | 10/20/2012

" Quick read. The story wasn't too bad. A bit predictable. Kinda like one of those shows where you are all "ooo, ooo, I know who did it!" and "oooooo... I bet they TOTALLY make out!" But I liked the characters and would definately read a sequel. "

" Ok, but some language & sexual content and not enough plot. Leaves you hanging a bit at the end, but doesn't leave much desire to go read the rest of them. "

  • 1 out of 51 out of 51 out of 51 out of 51 out of 5 LadyCroft86 | 10/3/2011

" I was intrigued by the book. There was a lot going on, and it was written well. I've read Ms.Maverick's books set in a contemporary setting and this is the first paranormal by her I've read. I will be looking into the other books in the crimson series. "

" The mains had almost no chemistry whatsoever. I didn't believe for one second that they cared about each other. I bought it to have something entertaining and quick to read, and because it was inexpensive. Unless you can't live without vampires, I'd say skip it. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Tracy | 1/3/2011

" This was an ok story. I had a hard time maintaining an interest in it, though. Don't really know why, it has vamps and werewolves...but the characters just didn't "pop" for me. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Angie | 1/2/2011

    " 3.5
Better than average but not great. Not a waste of time but I'm glad it was free on Kindle.
I think because I read the Vicki Pettersson(Zodiac)series first, that I set my expectations higher for other "comic book" type books. "
