About the Author

Before becoming the first African-American chair of the South Carolina Democratic Party, JAIME HARRISON was the director of floor operations and counsel for former House majority whip and current assistant Democratic leader James Clyburn (D-SC). Jaime was named as one of Roll Call's "Fabulous Fifty Movers and Shakers Behind the Scenes on Capitol Hill" and has appeared on CNN and MSNBC. AMOS SNEAD is a founding partner at S-3 Public Affairs and is a regular guest on Fox News and MSNBC. Amos is a cofounder of, a daily read for Congressional staff with a monthly reach of 3.2 million. Amos got his start as a press aide for the House Energy and Commerce Committee under chairman Billy Tauzin (R-LA) and chairman Joe Barton (R-TX), then as communications director for congressman Louie Gohmert (R-TX), and later as spokesman for House Republican whip Roy Blunt (R-MO).

About the Narrators

Allyson Ryan is an Earphones Award-winning voice actress who can be heard in commercials, promos, animation, and audiobooks. She has extensive experience on stage and television. In New York, she acted in and directed more than thirty plays. Her television credits include roles on Eleventh Hour, Law & Order, and One Life to Live. She has also appeared as “Mom” in several television commercials. Advertising Age nominated her for a Bobby Award in the best actress category for her work as the Duracell mom.

Ron Butler is a Los Angeles–based actor, Earphones Award–winning audiobook narrator, and voice artist with over a hundred film and television credits. Most kids will recognize him from the three seasons he spent on Nickelodeon’s True Jackson, VP. He works regularly as a commercial and animation voice-over artist and has voiced a wide variety of audiobooks. He is a member of the Atlantic Theater Company and an Independent Filmmaker Project Award winner for his work in the HBO film Everyday People.

Rob Shapiro is a musician, writer, voice actor, and Earphones Award–winning narrator. He performed several seasons of radio comedy on Minneapolis Public Radio and voiced the titular lion in Leo the Lion. He is a musician and composer with his critically acclaimed band Populuxe.
