"The recipes in this book were wonderful as far as increasing the nutrition of the foods we fix in our home, and were flavor-full too. I personally cannot bring myself to believe that being dairy-free is the way to be (he sites studies, but I've seen others site studies that show the opposite, it's a toss up, statistically), and I have read just as much negative stuff on soy as I have dairy. He uses a lot of soy in his recipes, which I just swapped with real milk. I do believe he's on the right track as to the definite need to increase children's (and adults') veggie intake, especially green ones!"

" This is the best book on family nutrition I've read yet. Tons of solid information, helpful graphs, and practical suggestions for helping kids to being intuitive healthy eaters. The recipes look kind of gross--I haven't actually tried any of them because it looks like Fuhrman is probably a better nutritionist than chef. But if you're looking for solid information about how to feed your family right, this is the book for you. "

" I've discovered that even with Dr Fuhrman, I have at least one issue with every diet book I've read. I guess I really like what he says, I just really don't like him. Good to read though. "

" It was very good at explaining why you need to feed your children differently. So many of the problems I have as an adult are due to the way I ate as a child. We will be incorporating some of the suggestions for our family. "

" Really made me think about the way we eat, and the many bad habits we have. Almost makes a person want to go vegan.....ALMOST!! While I didn't agree with everything in here, there was a lot of good I got out of it. Now...where to start making changes? "

" Another really good book I wish I had read before having kids. Much of the same info from "Eat to Live" but more geared towards children and a lot easier to read. "

" Loved this book. Very educational on the topic of food, whats in the foods we eat, and what it does to our bodies. I loved the ideas I got for good things to feel not only my children but myself as well. It changed our perspective on food a few years ago and has stuck with us. "

" Definitely getting my husband and 12 year old to read this. Cancer and other diseases start now for children but you can prevent them by feeding your kids well (but that is probably not what you think it is). "

" I highly recommend this to moms. It goes hand in hand with the new program our family is doing and although we are not forcing our boys to eat this way - there is a lot of great information but the recipes I like better are on fatfreevegan.com. "

" I really like the idea of this book. It's very motivating to me to cut as much junk out of our lives as I can and put in lots of good stuff. It's still hard to do, but everytime I read about it, I get more inspired to try it and do it as much as I can. "

" EVERY parent should read this book. Seriously. It has definitely changed the way I view food and what I will be feeding my children from now on. Much easier read than The China Study, with the same basic information. And I love the case examples he gave to drive the points home. "

" This really made me stop and think about what I'm feeding my kids. As a result, I've made a commitment to ditch the processed foods while we're at home, and to implement more of a grazing diet for them. "
