About the Author
Author Kevin Henkes

Kevin Henkes is the author and illustrator of many books for children of all ages, including Lilly’s Purple Plastic PurseChrysanthemum, and Wemberly Worried. He was awarded the Caldecott Medal for Kitten’s First Full Moon, a Caldecott Honor for Owen, and a Newbery Honor for Olive’s Ocean. He lives with his family in Madison, Wisconsin.

About the Narrator

Meryl Streep, considered by many movie reviewers to be the greatest living film actress, has been nominated for an Academy Award an astonishing sixteen times and has won it three times. Born in New Jersey, her early performing ambitions leaned toward the opera, but she became interested in acting while a student at Vassar and upon graduation enrolled in the Yale School of Drama. She went on to win the Academy Award for her performances in Kramer vs. Kramer (1979), Sophie’s Choice (1982), and The Iron Lady (2012).
