About the Authors

George Mann is the author of the Newbury & Hobbes Investigations, beginning with The Affinity Bridge, and other works of fiction including Ghosts of Manhattan and official Doctor Who tie-in material. He edited the Solaris Book of New Science Fiction anthology series and The Mammoth Encyclopedia of Science Fiction.

David J Howe has been involved with Doctor Who research and writing for over thirty years and is author or co-author of over thirty factual titles associated with the show. He has written articles, interviews and reviews for a wide number of publications, including Fear, Dreamwatch, Infinity, Stage and Television Today, The Dark Side, The Guardian, Film Review, Collectors' Gazette, Deathray and the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography. He is currently the editorial director of Telos Publishing Ltd., an award winning independent press based in the UK.

He writes about Doctor Who merchandise for Doctor Who Insider magazine, and contributes liner notes for BBC Audio’s range of Doctor Who novelization CDs. David has one of the largest collections of Doctor Who merchandise in the world.
