LeAnn Thieman is a professional speaker, nurse, and one
of Chicken Soups most prolific writers. In 1975, she helped raise money and
supplies for Vietnamese war orphans. Originally aiming to rescue six, her “Operation
Babylift” was approved by President Ford to take three hundred babies out of
the country after the fall of Saigon. This story and many others have earned
her a place in the Speaker Hall of Fame, joining the company of Ronald Reagan,
Colin Powell, and Art Linkletter. When she is not writing, LeAnn enjoys hiking
near her Colorado home, playing with her grandkids, and spending time with her
husband.
About the Narrators
Kathy Garver, the teenage heartthrob from the hit series Family Affair (1966–1971), has voiced numerous audiobooks, including biographies of Patty Duke and Frances Langford, and appeared in such classic films as Night of the Hunter and The Ten Commandments long before she became a television icon.
Tom Parks is an AudioFile Earphones Award-winning narrator who has also been a finalist for the prestigious Audie Award for best narration. He has been involved in recording audiobooks and voice-overs for over thirty years and through an eclectic range of projects. In addition to performing and directing, he is also an active musician, drumming in musical theater productions in the Midwest, and is in demand as a conference speaker.
