LeAnn Thieman is a professional speaker, nurse, and one of Chicken Soups most prolific writers. In 1975, she helped raise money and supplies for Vietnamese war orphans. Originally aiming to rescue six, her “Operation Babylift” was approved by President Ford to take three hundred babies out of the country after the fall of Saigon. This story and many others have earned her a place in the Speaker Hall of Fame, joining the company of Ronald Reagan, Colin Powell, and Art Linkletter. When she is not writing, LeAnn enjoys hiking near her Colorado home, playing with her grandkids, and spending time with her husband.
