Publisher Description

Cat's Cradle is Vonnegut's satirical commentary on modern man and his madness. An apocalyptic tale of this planet's ultimate fate, it features a little person as the protagonist; a complete, original theology created by a calypso singer; and a vision of the future that is at once blackly fatalistic and hilariously funny.

"This book left the worst feeling in me that I have ever experienced. It takes some skill to do that. I read this book several years ago and thinking about it now makes me feel really upset. I only wish that Mr. Vonnegut was still around. I very much would like to write him."

— Kuilu (5 out of 5 stars)

" I was lent Cats Cradle by my brother-in-law, he thought I might like it, but to be honest I struggled with it a fair bit! I had no knowledge of the book prior to reading, thus I had no preconceptions of it either, but it's fair to say I don't see the classic book that other reviewers see! I just didn't get on with the authors writing style, I didn't see the absurdities in the situations in the storyline, in so much that, that the book seemed to be absurd in the way it was written! The more I read, the more I felt this way, it's fair to say we didn't get on! "
