She holds a master’s degree in administration and supervision in higher education from Baruch College. She has two college-educated children, with one currently pursuing doctoral studies. She lives in Queens, New York, with her husband, a retired high school principal, and enjoys monitoring the higher education landscape, teaching genealogy, and keeping up with five grandchildren.
