Publisher Description

Alan Durant, a finalist for the Kate Greenaway Medal, crafts a vibrant story that will have children giggling. Benny doesn't like vegetables. Not carrots, not peas, not broccoli or tomatoes. What Benny likes is burgers. He piles burgers into his mouth by the handful. His mom warns him, "If you don't watch out, you'll turn into a burger one day." That's exactly what happens, and soon Benny is being chased by hungry dogs, mad cows, and mischievous boys. "[An] entertaining cautionary tale ."-Publishers Weekly, starred review

"This book made me laugh. It reminded me of how my grandma used to tell me that I ate so much of a particular thing that I would turn into it. :) A fun way to try to get kids to eat their veggies...or rather a more balanced diet (because they could turn into veggies too if they ate too much!)."
